Seeing people with dreams finding great value through high quality training facilitated by enthusiastic and passionate teams is heart-warming. I have personally trained people at a super-regional shopping centre on world-class standards for customer service and to see them achieve and receive certificates, and experience their gratitude, brought tears to my eyes and humbleness in my heart.
GetOn Skills Development Centre approached me in 2015 to develop a learning programme for them so that they could create work opportunities for people as barista – a career for which there is a growing demand, with a world-wide trend in enjoying great coffee. From the first meeting, I became aware of the passion that Brenton Cryer has for developing people and helping them become proud, qualified individuals, getting an opportunity to enter into the career world.
I have since developed other learning programmes for this Foundation, and it makes me glad to see how individuals give feedback on Facebook, being so grateful and proud that they found employment with the qualifications and additional employment-seeking and placing assistance from GetOn.
When I was asked to conduct moderation of portfolios of learners following the Cashier (Checkout Operator) programme, I realised that the materials needed some tweaking to ensure they met the requirements for accreditation and for ensuring learners would be able to hand in portfolios on which they could be found competent. In the hope that I could make a small contribution to the passionate GetOn team and the keen, hard-working learners with dreams of assisting customers with service excellence in retail outlets, I have donated my set of materials for this programme.
GetOn, you are doing awesome work. May you continue to be blessed.
